The art of trains a fun exhibit in New London

What an impressive and fun review of late New London resident Robert Hauschild's works at Studio 33 Art and Frame Gallery on Bank Street, New London.

Dubbed the "Norman Rockwell of trains," Bob was my first art teacher at New London Adult Education, after 20 years of social work with the elderly. Bob taught water colors. He was inspiring, talented, and a very enthusiastic teacher. Watercolors is still a passion for me to this day. A familiar face at art events throughout the region, Bob became a friend.

The art of trains show, called "Whistle Stop," is on exhibit at Studio 33 through June 29. For kids to adults this exhibit of train portraits is a "choo-choo" must see.
