Area residents will have a chance to get a flu vaccination without leaving their cars, in a "drive-through" flu clinic at East Lyme High School on Oct. 26. Sponsored by area public healthy agencies, the clinic will take place from 10 a.m. to noon.
This will be a mass dispensing exercise involving Ledge Light Health District, Uncas Health District, Northeast District Department of Health, Community Emergency Response Team and Medical Reserve Corps volunteers, East Lyme Police Cadets and East Lyme Emergency Management.
The mass dispensing area served by Ledge Light includes New London, Groton, East Lyme, Ledyard, Waterford, Stonington, North Stonington, Lyme and Old Lyme.
Residents of those towns are invited to participate. Registration is required, since vaccine supply is limited. People must be 18 or older to register.
To register, send an email to Kris Magnussen at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (860) 448-4882.
