Mohegan – State police have lodged new charges against the two men arrested in June for allegedly participating in a cheating scam involving Pai Gow, a gambling game played with dominos at both Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun casinos.

Chaoyu Wu, 32, of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Tan Guo Yu, 39, of Boston, were charged with fourth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit fourth-degree larceny, cheating and conspiracy to commit cheating.

The arrest stems from an investigation started June 12 by detectives with the state police casino unit at Mohegan Sun casino. At that time, police said Wu and Yu were charged with third-degree larceny and cheating for allegedly cheating at Pai Gow at Mohegan Sun.

Police said detectives tracked movements of the two men prior to their arrest at Mohegan Sun and found they had been cheating at a Pai Gow table at Foxwoods. The men were charged by warrant on Tuesday.

Both men were released on an unspecified bond and are scheduled to appear Nov. 7 in New London Superior Court.
