New London police arrested a Deep River man Monday in connection with the theft of a dirt bike.
Police said they were acting on a complaint from the victim, whose motorcycle was stolen during a test ride in New London. Police said they located the vehicle, a 2005 KTM 125 SX, for sale on Craigslist for $2,200 and tracked it to an address in Groton, where the dirt bike was recovered.
Stephen Deluca, 43, of 5 Barn Road, Deep River, was charged with third-degree larceny. Deluca said he had purchased the motorcycle for $500, according to police.
Deluca was released on a $5,000 cash bond.
