Norwich - St. Joseph Church at 120 Cliff St. will start its annual Lenten fish fry a week earlier than normal this year, starting this Friday at the former St. Joseph School, which now houses St. Vincent de Paul Place soup kitchen.
The fish dinners will be served from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., with take-out meals available. The annual Friday Lenten fish fry usually starts the Friday following Ash Wednesday, but with Lent beginning late this year, the church is starting a week early.
The event will run every Friday through Good Friday on April 18.
Dinner includes fried or baked fish, French fries, coleslaw, a dinner roll, beverage and homemade desserts. Sit-down or take-out full meal is $9, a half meal is $7. Clam chowder also will be available.
