Coast Guard Band presents sounds of New York City program

New London — The U.S. Coast Guard Band presents a program full of the sounds of New York City at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 16, in Leamy Concert Hall at the Coast Guard Academy.

Assistant Director Chief Warrant Officer Richard E. Wyman leads the program, “New York Cityscape,” which features works by John Harbison, Jeff Tyzik and Leonard Bernstein.

This event is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required. The academy, at 15 Mohegan Ave., is handicapped-accessible. All visitors to the academy must present a valid state-issued photo ID. For more information, visit www.uscg.mil/band or call (860) 701-6826.
