Former Foxwoods VP joins Wynn Resorts

Wynn Resorts has hired a former Foxwoods Resort Casino executive whose primary focus will be Wynn's proposed casino resort in Everett, Mass.

Robert DeSalvio has served as an executive vice president of both Foxwoods and Sands Atlantic City. Most recently, he was president of Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem in Bethlehem, Pa., where he led the development, construction, government relations and staffing of the resort, which opened in 2009.

Wynn's plan for a 1.6 billion resort in Everett is vying for the Greater Boston casino license also being sought by Mohegan Sun, which has proposed a $1.3 billion project in Revere.
