New London — The Department of Public Works will on Friday begin the latest phase of a roadway improvement program that will involve repaving four city streets.

Farnsworth Street, Oneco Avenue, Gallows Lane and Buell Place will be resurfaced one at a time, in that order. The roadwork is expected to take two or three days per street.

With the exception of Buell Place, the roads will remain open to traffic at all times during the work.

The road work is part of the city’s $2.1 million 2014 Roadway Improvement Program.

Questions about the work may be directed to William Camosci, assistant director of engineering services, at (860) 440-6645 or at wcamosci@ci.new-london.ct.us.
