    The 2014 Meigs Point Farm Festival at Hammonasset Beach State Park

    Ranger Russ, the Kerry Boys, Tom Callinan and more!

    October 4th and 5th.

    Fun fall festival featuring music, food, crafts, nature, animals... and much more!

    This special two day event at Hammonasset Beach State Park will celebrate Nature and honor New

    England's Farming and Fishing History. There will be spinning, weaving, folk songs, New England crafters. Allan Saunders (Mohegan) will offer an opening blessing and smudging ceremony at 10:30 AM both on Saturday and Sunday. Enjoy live music all day both days with the Kerry Boys, Connecticut State Troubadour, Tom Callinan, and Native American flute music.

    Events include fishing lessons from Trout Unlimited, multiple Nature center programs (including from our own Meigs Point Nature Center), raptor programs from a Place called Hope, the New England Atlatl Championship, flintknapping, geology and archeology exhibits, historical societies, antique cars, firetrucks, and farming equipment.

    This family event is free. There will be no fee to enter the Park or to park. Food vendors will be present. Please leave your pets at home. Follow the signs to the West Beach pavilions.
