Eric Wood and Nora and Christopher Taylor of Gales Ferry, happily announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelly Marie Wood, to Kenneth Edward Wiese II, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Wiese of Ledyard.

The couple are both Ledyard High School graduates. They became engaged in August of 2013.

The future bride will receive her bachelor's degree from Southern Connecticut State University in May 2015. She studied elementary education with Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathmatics concentrations. She will be student teaching at Quaker Hill Elementary School in Waterford, from January to May 2015.

Kenny currently works for Mohegan Sun and has recently accepted a job offer from Citizens Bank at the Deep River branch.

They have a beautiful nine month old daughter together, Kaliyah Elaine.

A June 2016 wedding is planned.
