    H.S. lacrosse roundup: Old Lyme girls continue to roll, improve to 6-0

    Deep River — Sydney Cowell scored six goals and had two assists as the Old Lyme High School girls' lacrosse team beat Valley Regional 15-1 in the Shoreline Conference.

    Catie Quaratella had three goals and three assists and Abby Berger had two goals and an assist for Old Lyme (6-0).

    In other games:

    • Erin Mammele had five goals and an assist as Hand downed East Lyme 16-4. Hand is 8-0. Belle Kenney had three goals and Gabby Fiengo scored for East Lyme (6-2).

    • Michelina Pinto scored eight goals and Mae Sefransky scored seven goals and had four assists as Fitch defeated Montville 21-10. Fitch is 3-4. Rachel Marchini scored four times for Montville (2-5).

    • Margot Calmar scored six goals and Stonington tied Ledyard 10-10. Stonington is 4-2-1. Liz Austin and Leslie Dunn scored three goals apiece for Ledyard (4-2-1).

    • Riley Dimmock and Mary Grace Wyatt scored five goals apiece as Waterford defeated Woodstock 16-8. Waterford is 6-2.

    Boys

    • Billy Barrs had six goals and two assists to pace Waterford past Woodstock Academy 12-3. Tony Vocalina had a goal and five assists for Waterford (5-3) and Michael Beltran had three goals and an assist. Logan Bowdish and Spencer Sgandurra also scored.

    • Ryan Rueling had five goals and Kam Kalkhoran scored three times as Fitch beat Montville 14-6. Fitch is 5-4. Kyle Marsh had three goals and Tyler Price scored twice for Montville (1-5).

    • Kyle McDonald and Aaron Dixon each had three goals for East Lyme as it edged Bacon Academy 10-9. East Lyme is 6-1.

    • Senior Jack Fader had seven goals and three assists to power Williams School past Marianapolis 18-1. Xavier Mills added three goals and four assists while Charlie Parsons had five goals and one assist for Williams (5-2).

    • Kolton Sebastian scored the game-winner about 30 seconds into overtime, lifting St. Thomas More past Worcester Academy 7-6. Boris Major and Adam Hamilton each had two goals and an assist for St. Thomas More (1-4).
