    Groton City

    Miguel A. Lopez-Alvarado, 44, of 49 Greenway Road, was charged Sunday with third-degree strangulation.

    Groton Town

    Paul Pierce of 64 Maple Ave., New London, was charged Sunday with fifth-degree larceny, third-degree criminal mischief and interfering with a police officer.

    Charles J. Whitehurst, 29, of Durham, N.C., was charged Saturday with two counts of sixth-degree larceny and two counts of third-degree burglary.

    State police - Montville

    Dana Eng, 56, of 9 Bentley Ave., Norwich, was charged Thursday in Montville with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, improper use of marker plates, failure to drive right and failure to carry a license.

    Emily Biletzke, 24, of 24 Hynes Ave., Groton, was charged Saturday in New London with second-degree failure to appear in court.

    Terrence Brennan, 57, of 81 Liberty Way, Oakdale, was charged Sunday in Montville with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

    Stonington

    Matthew A. Bruckschen, 30, of 81 Mechanic St., Apt. 3, Pawcatuck, was charged Sunday with third-degree assault, second-degree strangulation, breach of peace, risk of injury to a minor, interfering with an emergency call and interfering with a police officer. 

    Waterford

    Brendon Labouliere, 25, of Southington, was charged Sunday with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to drive in proper lane.
