Halls of Gillette Castle are now decked
Gillette Castle is decorated with a variety of classic holiday ornamentation, garlands and trees in each room for the season. Located at 67 River Road in East Haddam, Gillette Castle was actor William Gillette’s 204-acre estate.
The castle will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 20, weather permitting. Tickets are sold until 3:30 p.m. Hot chocolate and warm cider will be available for all who attend, and the staff will be tending a bonfire just outside of the Cider Mill. In addition there will be a scavenger hunt for kids.
Castle entrance fee is $6 for adults and children 13 and over, $2 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for children under 5, disabled veterans pass holders, and seniors who hold Charter Oak passes.
