Norwich – The Taftville Neighborhood Watch group will host a public forum Wednesday to discuss what residents in the historic mill village would like to see at the defunct Taftville Little League field now that the dilapidated dugouts and support buildings have been demolished.

The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Taftville Fire Department.

The City Council voted in November to allocate $30,000 in federal community development block grant funds to demolish structures at the defunct city-owned complex no longer used for Little League games. Participants in a neighborhood walk with city officials a week prior to the meeting asked that the complex be demolished and the land be used for a public park.
