These young men are her heroes

So many letters about politics, and negative things, but finally I find myself wanting folks to know that though they may see a lot of bad things involving young men or women, there are still good ones out there doing good deeds, who are never mentioned.

While trying to cut the lawn, on my home in Groton, I ran out of gas in my lawnmower, and added more and was trying to no avail to restart it, when two young men passed by, and asked if I "could use a hand." One of them checked it over completely, and then restarted it. Then he hugged me, and said, "Have a nice day." I was so astounded that I never got their names. I wish I had, so I could really thank them, though I did say "thank you." For the first time in years I have regained my faith in the younger generation!

At 85 years of age, I had begun to feel that the younger generation today was hopeless.

If those young men see this, I would like them to know that this has meant so much to me! I wish everyone could know how wonderful they are. They are my heroes.
