Jeremiah Hazed plays Friday, 'OK Computer' tribue on Saturday in Norwich club

It's the second anniversary weekend at the Strange Brew Pub in Norwich — one of the most creatively-booked venues in the area's fertile live music scene. Fasten your seatbelts because the Brewers have a got a tremendous celebration planned.

On Friday, the club carries on its triumphant "Album Tribute Night" series as Matt Hamilton & Friends adventurously (and bravely) undertake the sublime greatness of Radiohead's "OK Computer." Bravo, dudes — just the idea alone is incredibly honorable. And here's betting they pull it off to the extent that it wouldn't surprise anyone if Thom Yorke showed up.

On Saturday, Hartford's Balkun Brothers and New London's beloved Straight to VHS entertain; and Sunday's birthday finale is a Comedy Night.

Weekends all start with Thursday, though, and Salem jam band Jeremiah Hazed hits the stage tonight. Anchored by church organ swells, psyche-happy wah-wah guitar, a Meters-style rhythmic pocket and three-part vocal harmonies, JH can stimulate through melody as well as through groove and jammage.
