“Life After Loss,” a daylong retreat to help those who have experienced loss, will take place on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Mercy by the Sea in Madison.

A day of workshops led by professional facilitators will include expressive writing for healing, creative collaging, dream interpretation, a round table discussion about the grief process, a meditative labyrinth walk and more.

The program’s keynote speaker is Carol Scibelli, an award-winning humor writer and speaker. Other presenters include Zsuzsa Simandy, LMSW, of Guilford; Rev. Lee Ireland of Niantic; Andrea Cashman of Milford; Amy J. Barry of Stony Creek; Carol Vara, MSW, of Niantic.; Dr. Joanne Z. Moore of East Lyme; Gary Donovan of Mystic; and Patricia Ann Chaffee of Old Saybrook.

The cost of the retreat is $125 and includes continental breakfast and a sit-down lunch. Space is limited and registration is required by Sept. 15.
