    Observational comedian Maniscalco hits Foxwoods

At a certain point, you'd think observational comics would run out of things to make fun of.

Consider, though, the standup work of Sebastian Maniscalco, who performs four shows this weekend at the Grand Theater in Foxwoods. Looking like a cousin of John Turturro, and with an affected and whiny delivery — which is either very effective or annoying, depending on how such things work for you — Maniscalco is touring behind his successful "Why Would You Do That?" in-concert special for Showtime.

He's a damned amusing comic, and there's a lot of truth to the hype that he actually says what the rest of us are only thinking. Except we're not near that funny.

    Sebastian Maniscalco, 8 p.m. Fri., 6 and 9 p.m. Sat. and 5 p.m. Sun., Grand Theater, Foxwoods; $50-$85; 1-800-200-2882.
