Mohegan Sun offers its WineFest
Listen up, all ye oenophiles!
(And if you need to ask what an oenophile is, you probably aren't one.)
Mohegan Sun continues to make January in New England a little more bearable with its annual WineFest. This year's fest is the 12th, and it promises a splendid array of fine wines - not to mention beer and spirits for those who prefer that to a glass of red or white - along with some marvelously mouthwatering dishes.
Now, before you head over there, check first if tickets are still available for the session you're interested in. When we last checked, Saturday's Grand Tasting was sold out.
Also on the program, though: a bourbon tasting, presented by Jim Beam and featuring a variety of bourbons, along with hors d'ouevres and cigars, on Friday; a celebrity chef dine-around on Saturday, where famous names whip up signature dishes that people can taste, along with specially chosen wine and beer; Elite Cru Tastings on Saturday, where people can sample top-notch vintages and enjoy a raw bar and other delicacies; and the Sunday Grand Tasting, offering all sorts of wine, beer, spirits and food.
