    H.S. lacrosse: St. Bernard girls earn share of ECC Div. III title

    Montville — Kara Bassett had seven goals and two assists as St. Bernard School earned at least a share of the Eastern Connecticut Conference Division III girls' lacrosse championship with a 14-5 victory over Griswold on Monday.

    Montville can share the title with the Saints (6-6, 5-1) with a win over Wheeler on Wednesday. Montville and St. Bernard split their regular-season series.

    Brianne Hoffa added three goals and two assists for the Saints while Mia Londregan scored there goals, Adelaide Horgan scored one and Flora Klise had an assist.

    In other games:

    • Audrey Matson scored five goals as top-seeded Williams School advanced to the SENE tournament championship game with a 16-8 win over No. 4 Providence Country Day. The Blues (12-0) will host Marianapolis Prep in Wednesday's final at 4 p.m. Sophie Salgar added four goals and one assist for Williams while Dylan Park collected six draw controls.

    • Karlie Rowe scored six goals as East Lyme completed a perfect run in ECC Division I with an 18-4 win over Norwich Free Academy. Elena Hynes added three goals and two assists and Caroline Healy scored three goals for the Vikings (13-2, 6-0). Lulu Potter had two goals and one assist for the Wildcats (6-9, 2-4) and Katie Kelly scored twice.

    • Zoe Pearse and Maggie O'Leary had three goals apiece in Fitch's 11-6 win over Ledyard in ECC Division I action. Maddie Carlett and Molly Reinhold each had two goals and Emily Catlett added one for the Falcons (3-11, 3-3). Megan Larmann had five goals and Maddie Pipech added one for the Colonels (3-12, 1-5).

    Boys

    • Matt Scahill scored a game-high seven goals to power Ledyard past Griswold 20-5. Jake Millbach had four goals and Connor Kiely and Joe LoDuca each added two for the Colonels (3-11).

    • Aaron Lahah had three goals an one assist as Stonington pulled away in the second half for an 8-4 victory over Woodstock Academy in an ECC Division II game. David Bibeau added two goals for the Bears (9-4, 7-2) while Max Mueller had two assists and Jake Mueller and Ben Huynh each had one goal and one assist.

    • Ryan Lindsay scored seven goals to power Cheshire past East Lyme 16-8. Connor Schofner had five goals while Sean Williams scored two and Matt Boguszewski added one for East Lyme (8-6).
