The letter, "Same-sex marriages don't produce kids," (Nov. 16), ignores the fact, or is unaware, that a number of same-sex marriages do raise adopted children for the benefit of society. In cases where artificial insemination is involved, they actually "produce" these children. So, per the letter writer's criteria, I guess these unions do fit his definition of a marriage. I have observed that many same-sex marriages result in loving and caring relationships with a much lower divorce rate than heterosexual unions. As to the question of "morality," that is beyond my role to judge. I think I'll let God sort it out.
