On Thanksgiving, The Day featured Joanie and her family in the "Make a Difference" series. Recently homeless, the family struggles to maintain their home. Joanie's husband lost his job and is looking for work. Joanie is working hard to maintain an apartment for their young children. Joanie needed to repair her car or she would lose her job and the family would lose their only income to pay the rent. Thanks to the generosity of The Day's readers, Joanie will be able to repair her car and maintain her job.
