Make 'Wise' choice in New London

Sometimes being a spectator is not good enough, which mean sometimes you need to get involved. I have either been attending New London City Council meetings or watching the meetings on Metrocast.

After years of following the activities of our local government, I have decided to get involved and work to move New London forward.

My wife and I live downtown. I am hearing impaired and have some mobility issues. I have a limited income, and my wife has a part-time job. That makes me have much in common with many New London citizens, especially the seniors and those who are economically challenged, as well as those in public housing facilities.

In short, my campaign will focus on making New London a desirable and affordable place to live and work to keep it clean and safe and make sure our government is honest.

Some people have said I can’t win. Running for office and winning are two separate issues. I want my voice heard.

If the voters see fit to make a “Wise” choice on Election Day, I may win a seat on the City Council and be able to bring your voice to City Hall.

    Tom Wise

    New London

Editor’s note: Mr. Wise is a Republican candidate for New London City Council.
