Watson's re-election brings her to tears

Unfortunately for Groton, Harry Watson is one of our biggest problems within government. He has never met a budget he didn't vote for. He has no problem spending taxpayer money. Voters should educate themselves about a candidate’s philosophy before casting their votes. Past performance of an incumbent is a strong indicator of future performance. As a Republican, I cried when Watson was once again elected. He has been in office for the past 25-long years here. Enough is enough. Name recognition is what once again allowed him to sit uselessly on the Town Council. Watson, please allow others to serve. We need term limits.

Bill Smith was my voice of reason in this election. I had hope for once in a long time, but my hope has been extinguished. How sad for us all here in Groton. More doom to come with no end in sight.
