Wiesel's ties to New London fondly recalled

How wonderful the articles, “New London community ‘touched’ by Wiesel remembers a storyteller and listener,” (July 3), and “A memorable day with Elie Wiesel,” (July 10) were on our Elie Wiesel. He was a survivor and a world peacemaker, a teacher so loved by so many of us all over the world. However, I was disappointed that neither article mentioned his speaking at Connecticut College under then-President Claire Gaudiani in 1991. Many of us stood for hours in his honor.
