Christian faith drove many Trump votes
One of the factors that led to Donald Trump being elected was the "Decision America" tour that Franklin Graham conducted over the past 10 months. By visiting each state capital and rallying people of faith, he inspired many Christians to get involved in the political process and express their opinion.
Franklin did not advocate for any candidate or party, but did encourage everyone to consider the issues and vote their conscience. I believe that the overwhelming turnout of people of faith contributed to the results we see. The major consideration Franklin stressed was the current attack of the Christian faith evidenced by the Supreme Court and lower courts recent rulings that denied the right to deny service to gays based on an individual's religious beliefs. A second and equally important consideration is the sanctity of human life and the need to limit the taking of life through abortions.
If more left-leaning justices were appointed, more and more freedoms would likely be endangered. Many of those who voted for Trump did so with serious reservations, but recognized the danger of allowing a liberal president to appoint justices.
