One of the favorite saying of Will Rogers, an early 20th Century humorist from Oklahoma, was, “A stranger is a friend I just haven’t met yet.”

But his favorite saying to put boring blaggards in their place was, “We are all ignorant, only on different subjects.” True of course, at least until Donald Trump came along, who as president-elect has declined some of his daily intelligence briefings because he obviously believes he already knows everything about everything.

Sorry, Will, I didn’t mean to cause you to turn over in your grave.
