As leaders and citizens in Otsego County Michigan, we reluctantly bid our County Administrator John Burt goodbye as he leaves Michigan for his new role as town manager of Groton. Town officials are very fortunate to have selected John to help lead them into further success. John leaves an impressive, long trail of accomplishments in our county due to his steady hand of administration, collaborative efforts, excellent strategic thinking and planning, strong integrity and dedicated work ethic to reach goals. 

He and his family leave abundant friendships here for their new life in Groton, and they will add talent, fun, and inspiration to their new relationships in your area. 

You are truly a most lucky community to have John Burt in this leadership position, along with his wife Stacey, and their two children, Anna and Thomas, who look forward to this wonderful opportunity and adventure.
