Parking not welcoming on New London street

We have rented the same house on Mott Avenue for six years. Parking has always been at a premium but we have managed to deal with it, until this year.

The owners of the house have always instructed us to park on the grass strip directly in front of the house. This year several of us received parking tickets for parking on the grass strip. The house has been in the same family since it was built 100 years ago. This is the first instance of ticketing. There is no other parking in the neighborhood because resident stickers are required. The driveway only accommodates one car, so the choice is to risk getting your vehicle ticketed daily or having your car towed.

We have contributed $30,000, not including what we have spent in restaurants and stores, to the New London economy over the last six years. Our family loves this house, but unless something changes, we won't be back.
