I was introduced to Bank the Pug when he was 2 months old. Since then he has been teaching me the importance of giving as well as patience with others (and, I should add, to appreciate more what we are provided with every day); he must be a master of life of some sort under that melancholy, but all too lovely countenance of his. Although he doesn’t “smile” as much as we do when we play together, I’m sure he is beyond satisfaction about my decision to bring him along to live in Connecticut from Shanghai, China. He is the whole package.
