    Talent show to raise money for Norwich schools

    Norwich — Norwich public schools staff members, school board members and guest performers will take the stage at the Jacqueline Owens Auditorium at Kelly Middle School on Friday in the annual Staff Follies talent show and fundraiser.

    The event begins at 6:30 p.m. at the school, 25 Mahan Drive, Norwich with doors opening at 6 p.m. The event is a fundraiser for the Norwich Public Schools Educational Foundation. Tickets are $10 at the door, with half-price tickets available at all school offices and at www.NPSEducationFoundation.org. Children 14 and under will be admitted free.

    A variety of acts will perform, including singer Braiden Sunshine of Old Lyme, a star from the TV show “The Voice”; the Funky Dawgz, a brass band from the University of Connecticut; and local talent featuring Norwich schools’ staff and Board of Education members.

    Pizza will be sold at the concession in the lobby prior to 6:30 p.m. and during intermission.
