Ledyard — At a meeting Wednesday night, the Ledyard Farmers Market appointed a new leadership team.

Kevin Castleberry, who had not been involved with the market previously, has assumed the role of market master. Meanwhile, Teri McHale will head the new board of directors.

Prior to the duo stepping forward, there was concern that the town would not have a summer market for the first time in 14 years.

The new leadership team will lead its first organizational meeting from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Jan. 23 at the Bill Library in Ledyard. The meeting is for anyone who would like to volunteer to help with the summer market.
