Norwich — Police on Thursday arrested a Norwich man who allegedly struck a woman in the head with a hammer.
Officers responded to a domestic violence report at 1 Sullivan Drive, Norwich, early Thursday morning and arrested Justin Passalugo, 33, of 46 Briar Hill Road.
Police allege Passalugo hit an adult female with a hammer Wednesday night. A juvenile at the scene reported the incident to police, who charged Passalugo with first-degree assault, disorderly conduct and risk of injury to a minor.
The alleged victim was treated at the hospital for injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police said.
Passalugo was arraigned Thursday in Norwich Superior Court and held on $100,000 bond, police said.
