    Local college roundup: Bradford, McKenna lead Coast Guard to victory

    New London — Freshman Abigail Bradford had two goals and three assists as Coast Guard beat Rhode Island College 12-1 in a nonleague women's lacrosse match on Sunday.

    Junior Daria McKenna, the former Fitch standout, tied a school record with three assists. Cecelia Hosley, Carter Sanderson, Anna McGoldrick and MegMarie Stanchi had two goals each for the Bears (2-4), who led 9-0 at halftime.

    Women's tennis

    • Connecticut College lost to St. Thomas at Hilton Head Island, S.C., 5-4. Aleksandra Drljaca, Emily Migliorini and Angelica Warren won singles matches for the Camels (3-2) and Drljaca teamed with Brinley Bartlett for a doubles win.

    Men's tennis

    • Connecticut College lost 7-2 to St. Thomas at Hilton Head Island, S.C. Ben Sachs and Patrick Farrell won singles  matches for Conn (2-3).

    Sailing

    • Junior skipper Charlotte List helped lead the Connecticut College women's team to a sixth-place finish at the 18-team St. Mary's Invitational in Maryland. Gwynie Dunlevy, Katie Rodger and List were fifth in the B Division with 92 points and Ragna Agnerup and Issy Pieper were 10th in the A Division with 111 points.

    Conn's coed team went 13-1 and finished second in the Southern New England Team Race on the Thames River. Hugh MacGillivray, Walt Florio and Carter Pemberton skippered boats for the Camels and Eliza Garry, Erin Smith and Sam Rodiger were the crew.
