Enrique Portillo pulls newly potted blue cushion lavender plants off the potting machine conveyer belt Tuesday after they are watered to place on the flatbed trailer while working at Judges Farm Premium Wholesale Perennials in Old Lyme. The plants are cold-hardy perennials and can withstand the recent cold temperatures.
