    Exploring the Titanic exhibit on 103rd anniversary of sinking

    Gabriella Girotto, 7, of Milford explores one of the new interactive displays in the newly reconfigured Titanic exhibit at the Mystic Aquarium Tuesday, on the 103rd anniversary of the sinking of RMS Titanic.

    The Titanic struck an iceberg at 11:40 p.m. on April 14, 1912 in the North Atlantic and sank roughly two and a half hours later on the 15th, taking 1,496 passengers and crew down with the ship.

    The Titanic exhibit has been newly reconfigured as part of the new Exploration Wild Exhibit which was officially opened on April 7th and contains lots of interactive displays focusing on five different ecosystems found on Planet Earth.
