Norwich fireworks festival planned for July 2

Norwich — The Norwich Fireworks Committee has announced that the annual July 4 fireworks festival will be held Thursday, July 2, at Norwich Harbor, with the rain date being Friday, July 3.

The festival will include vendors and activities at the Howard T. Brown Memorial Park prior to the fireworks and a rooftop fundraiser barbecue, and viewing atop the Market Street parking garage, hosted by the Harp & Dragon Irish pub.

The Ron Aliano Service Award fundraiser will be held June 4 at the Marina at American Wharf. The committee is accepting nominations for this year’s Ron Aliano Service Award until May 1.
