    Preston library, Mystic Seaport offer planetarium program

    Preston — The Friends of the Preston Public Library is offering free tickets to a program to explore the night sky from 5:45 to 7 p.m. May 28 at the Treworgy Planetarium at Mystic Seaport.

    Participants will learn how to find the principal stars and constellations as well as stories about them. Inside the planetarium, about 1,200 stars, the planets and sun can be projected overhead onto the surface of a 30-foot diameter dome using individual lights.

    Admission is free for adults and children, but space is limited. Register at the front desk of the Preston Public Library, 389 Route 2, Preston, by May 22.

    Treworgy Planetarium is located at 75 Greenmanville Ave., Mystic.
