Niantic Bay 10K to be held June 12
East Lyme — The annual Niantic Bay 10K Road Race, hosted by East Lyme Youth Services, will take place Friday, June 12, at McCook Point Park.
The event begins with a 5K walk at 5:30 p.m., followed by the 10K run at 6 p.m., and is capped by a post-race celebration and awards ceremony.
In-person registration is available by picking up a form at the town's Parks and Recreation office. Online registration is available by visiting active.com and searching for "Niantic Bay 10K." The registration fee is $20 prior to June 10, then rises to $25 on June 10 and after.
Traffic delays can be expected along the route in the areas of Crescent Beach, Black Point Road and Old Black Point Road between the hours of 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Town officials said residents should use caution.
