Paving scheduled for Wednesday in East Lyme postponed due to rain

East Lyme — Due to heavy rains forecast for Wednesday, the paving operations on Grassy Hill Road and Lovers Lane scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 30, have been postponed.
The town's contractor had also canceled Tuesday's work for Grassy Hill Road due to the possibility of afternoon rain showers.
The Public Works Department said it will reassess the weather Wednesday afternoon and will make a determination at that time if the department will be able to pave on Thursday or Friday.
