Boy Scout collects tons of books for Eagle project

Robert Kelley of Troop 93 in Uncasville collected more than two tons of books this fall for his Eagle Scout project and donated them to the Connecticut Alliance for Victims of Violence and their Families (CT-ALIVE) to raise awareness about domestic violence. The organization works in partnership with Charities of Hope in Hartford to sell books, clothing, and other donated items through its Hope Thrift Store to fund programming for women who have experienced sexual abuse, domestic violence, or child abuse.
