Sunday: Seasonal parades, concerts and events abound

Sunday is packed with holiday-season events, and revelers have their pick of Christmasy entertainment.

Like parades? Head to Montville for its procession, stepping off at 5 p.m. from the Montville Funeral Home on Route 32 and ending at town hall, where the town tree lighting will take place.

Like stage performances? You could take in "Make We Joy," a multicultural celebration led by Flock Theatre, at 4 and 7 p.m. at Mitchell College's Clarke Center in New London; admission is free.

The casinos, of course, have seasonal shows, too, with Donny and Marie Osmond offering their Christmas concert at 2 and 7 p.m. at Foxwoods' Grand Theater; tickets range from $50 to $150.

At Mohegan Sun Arena, Celtic Woman stage their "Home for Christmas" performance at 7:30 p.m.; tickets are $35.

The Noank-Mystic Community Band gives a holiday concert at 2 p.m. at St. Patrick's Church in Mystic; admission is free.

And for a little touch of history, try "Christmas in the Colonies" from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Leffingwell House Museum in Norwich or "Yuletide Celebration" from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Nathan Lester House in Gales Ferry. Both events are free.
