Hospice tree lighting ceremony will memorialize loved ones

Norwich — The Center for Hospice Care will host its second annual "Tree of Life" tree-lighting ceremony in the Healing Garden at 227 Dunham St. from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The event allows anyone to purchase a light in memory of close friends or family. Names will be included on a sign alongside the tree, which was donated by Maple Lane Farms in Preston.

Lighting will commence at 6 p.m., followed by refreshments and a performance by the Ledyard Carolers.

The Center for Hospice Care is a nonprofit organization that provides hospice and palliative care as well as bereavement counseling services to families in Eastern Connecticut.
