    Two disaster relief centers to close Tuesday

    The two Disaster Loan Outreach Centers, set up in Fairfield and New Haven counties after Hurricane Sandy, will close on Tuesday at 4 p.m.

    Customer service representatives from the U.S. Small Business Administration are available at the centers to answer questions from businesses and residents affected by the hurricane about the disaster loan program and help individuals complete their applications.

    The Fairfield center located at the Bigelow Center for Senior Activities will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and until 4 p.m. Tuesday.

    The Milford center at 70 W. River St., Room 118, will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and until 4 p.m. Tuesday.

    Applicants may apply online using the Electronic Loan Application via SBA’s secure website at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela.

    Businesses and individuals may also obtain information and loan applications by calling the SBA’s Customer Service Center at 1-800-659-2955 (1-800-877-8339 for the deaf and hard-of-hearing), or by emailing disastercustomerservice@sba.gov. Loan applications can also be downloaded at www.sba.gov/disaster. The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is Dec. 1, 2016. The deadline to return economic injury applications is Dec. 1, 2016.
