Old Lyme and Lyme have been awarded a state grant to help control invasive weeds in Rogers Lake.
The $18,500 grant is from the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection to control fanwort and variable leaf milfoil in areas of the 260-acre lake between the two towns.
At Tuesday's Old Lyme Board of Selectmen meeting, First Selectwoman Bonnie Reemsnyder thanked the members of the Rogers Lake Authority that prepared the application.
