Mystic man advances in Jeopardy! teachers tournament

Cory Harris of Mystic has advanced to the semi-final round of the Jeopardy! Teachers Tournament.
The English teacher at The Williams School in New London qualified by finishing first Friday night. He was in third place going into Final Jeopardy but got the correct answer and wagered more than another contestant who who also had the right answer.
The semi-finals begin Monday.
A lifelong fan of the game show, Harris was one of 15 teachers from around the country selected to compete in the show’s annual teacher tournament.
