Retired state geologist to give talk about Plum Island

Old Lyme — A talk titled "Plum Island's Place in the Geological History of Southern New England" will take place at 7 p.m. Oct. 27 at the Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library.
The talk will be given by Ralph Lewis, Connecticut state geologist emeritus and a professor-in-residence in the Marine Studies Department at the University of Connecticut's Avery Point campus in Groton.
