    Holiday events abound, from 'Make We Joy' to Shoreline Ringers

    Sunday is teeming with holiday events. What follows is just a sampling.

    Santa drops by for breakfast with children 8 a.m. to noon at the Oakdale Volunteer Fire Department, 444 Chapel Hill Road. Admission is $9, $7 seniors, $5 ages 4-12, but $1 off for people who bring a canned food item; for more information, call (860) 859-0502.

    Flock Theatre stages the multicultural celebration "Make We Joy" at 4 and 7 p.m. at Mitchell College's Clarke Center. Admission is free.

    The Shoreline Ringers perform Advent and Christmas music at 7 p.m. at St. James Episcopal Church, 76 Federal St., New London. There's holiday music, too, from The Cellar Gang 1-4 p.m. at the Jabez Smith House, 259 North Road, Groton, and the Stonington Madrigal Singers at 5 p.m. at Crossroads Presbyterian Church, 70 Cross Road, Waterford. Donations are accepted for all three of those concerts.

    The Smith-Harris House in East Lyme and the Leffingwell House Museum in Norwich both offer holiday open houses. Smith-Harris' is 11 a.m.-4 p.m., with admission a nonperishable food item for Care & Share of East Lyme, and Leffingwell's is 1-4 p.m.
