Backus adds vascular surgeon to medical staff
Norwich — Vascular and endovascular surgeon Dr. Akhilesh K. Jain has joined The William W. Backus Hospital medical staff and has begun seeing patients, the hospital announced Tuesday.
Dr. Jain’s areas of interest include abdominal aortic and iliac aneurysms, thoracic aortic aneurysms and dissection, peripheral arterial disease, limb salvage surgery (open and endovascular), carotid artery stenosis, renal and mesenteric vascular disease, acute pulmonary embolism, deep vein thrombosis and popliteal artery aneurysm, the hospital said in a news release.
Dr. Jain is seeing patients in the Hartford HealthCare Medical Group cardiology office at 164 Otrobando Ave. His office can be reached at (860) 886-0023.
