    La Grua Center fundraiser features son of actor Jack Lemmon

    Stonington -- The La Grua Center February fundraiser features a performance by Chris Lemmon, who will take guests through the life of his father, acclaimed actor Jack Lemmon, and Hollywood’s Golden Age on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 8 p.m.

    Chris Lemmon, is “a gifted pianist and performer, whose uncanny physical and vocal resemblance channels his father in this warm hearted one-man show,” called “Twist of Lemmon,” according to the center’s announcement of the event. The performance will feature film clips and Chris Lemmon playing a 1922 Mason & Hamlin piano.

    Jack Lemmon, a two-time Academy Award winner who appeared in more than 60 films such as "Save the Tiger," "Mr. Roberts," "The Odd Couple" and "Grumpy Old Men," ied in 2001.

    Tickets are $150 per person and include the performance and an after-party gathering with Chris Lemmon at a borough home. Tickets just for the performance are $100 per person. Partial view balcony seating tickets are $50 each.
